Story:

At the end of World War I, the nations of the middle east were promised freedom and independence from the Ottoman Empire that had ruled them for so long. Instead they found themselves under the control of European powers. In 1920, the League of Nations granted England mandate control over Iraq. Varying Tribal and political motivations, anger over being placed under a new foreign powers rule, and Iraqi nationalism came to a boiling point when in the late spring of 1920 Iraqi rebel groups took back major river valley areas in Mesopotamia from the British. The Iraqi Revolution had begun.
